..”Yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant—dog dung. I’ve dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and be embraced by him. I didn’t want some petty, inferior brand of righteousness that comes from keeping a list of rules when I could get the robust kind that comes from trusting Christ— God’s righteousness.”

(Philippians 3:8-9 MSG) Pretty much blows my mind. Garbage, waste? Yes…Compared to the treasure we have in Christ, as His kids, through His blood and Name, every other accomplishment just seems like dust in the wind. Jesus, we know in this world we have the temptations of comparing our work, getting the applause and praise of men, competing for “best” and “richest.”  Yet our richest treasure is You! Oh the privilege of knowing You and Your heart, of whispering we love You even in the midst of really dark seasons. The joy of knowing we belong in You. Make our hearts burn for You Jesus. Bring us closer to You. We can’t do this ourselves. Holy Spirit, we ask You to complete Your great work in us because Your great love cannot be compared to anything else. In Your Name we pray. Amen.
